《公开的秘密》由八篇短篇小说组成,其中有几篇的人物情节是强相关的,所以,我觉得说它是一部短篇小说集并不是很准确。

我觉得她的作品像可以传家的艺术品,整体匠心独运,结构优美,细节经得起细细品味。在短视频和公众号横行的当下,太多易碎的快消类文章充斥眼前,读门罗的小说就觉得奢侈。
读的时候常常惊叹,小说还可以这样写!可以像电影《盗梦空间》似的一个故事套一个故事。像脱口秀段子一样一个包袱接着一个包袱。可以像电影一样一个场景立马切换到另一个场景。语句也不必是结构完整的。简短却生动有力。描述的情感深邃幽微,时不时让人汗毛竖起。
